The
Patton Model 2977 DialFire series of Analog/ISDN Multi-Modem
cards provided a full range of digital and analog
connections, from low density (BRI) to high density T1 &
E1 (PRI) ISDN.
The Patton 2977 was phased out. Suggested replacement products:
Diva Media Boards are compatible with NetModem Server and the latest versions of Windows, including Windows 10 and Server 2019.
While Patton is no longer updating their device drivers, PC Micro released updated modem drivers for NetModem Clients running under Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP and Windows Server 2016/2012/2008
which allow the 2977's modems to be accessed from a remote NetModem Server on either physical or virtual machines.
2977 Features and Benifits:
- Dynamic analog/digital/fax support. On-board DSPs provide
advanced modem & fax support and maximize the efficiency
of each communication channel.
- Scalable
Architecture. Field upgradable from 24 to 48 ports, or from
30 to 60 ports, supporting up to two T1/E1 lines per card.
Multiple cards can be installed in one PC.
- Advanced
DSP Technology. Supports V.90, K56Flex, ISDN, and Advanced
Class 2 Fax.
- Wide
OS and third-party application support. The Model 2977 DialFire
RAS integrates with and take advantage of the inherent communications
capabilities built-in to your current server operating environments,
including: Windows Server, SCO, and
Linux.
- Universal
server compliance. The Model 2977 Series operates within
the PCI 2.1 specifications, support 3.3 or 5-volt PCI servers,
and share common software architecture.
- Web-Based
Management. Hardware manager provides reporting and diagnostic
utilities.
Designed
by Digi for the most common PC Server Operating Systems, the 2977
product line meets a wide range of remote access needs, including
connectivity for mobile employees, telecommuters, branch offices
and SOHO (small office/home office) users. It does not require
separate administrative training or a substantial investment
to add remote access or fax connectivity. IT managers can continue
to use the same management systems and administrative tools
they know and trust. Users can continue to use the same remote
access resources to which they''re accustomed.
Patton's built-in modems use the latest advances in Digital
Signal Processing (DSP) technology, resulting in the industry's
highest density of on-board modems for a RAS concentrator which
provides low-cost connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone
Network (PSTN), the Internet and your intranet, and scale to
meet future growth demands.

The Patton Digi 2977 are backed by an optional five-year advanced-replacment
warranty.
The standard manufacturer warranty is one year parts and labor,
carry-in.
