a bbs is a place you can call/connect to and read messages, get files and maybe chat with other users, long before the net people used to communicate thru bbs:es. so what makes a bbs so special? well i do not only speak for my self but for every other user/sysop. it's the feeling hearing that modem sound, logging on, check new messages, look thru some new files other users have uploaded, check out the cool graphic and play some online door games. if you want to connect to planet.vod you need to have an modem and a terminal program, if you need a terminal program you can download bannanacom at www.split.com / then you have to dial the number and here the magic modem sound of connect 33600, you have to login/apply and answer a few questions, then the sysop/staff will decide if you will come in or not. (note: this is a private system maintained privatly that's why i dont want anyone out there to call, remember not ALL BBS:s are like mine)
