CANCEL CANCELLED FAILED REMOVE UNINSTALL FAIL
AN INSTALL, A LANTASTIC MESSAGE SAYS THERE
IS AN EXISTING VERSION AND WILL NOT RE-INSTALL.
a LANtastic install is cancelled the registry
key may already be imported that indicates
it is installed on the machine. This key can
also remain after a failed uninstall.
Removing the two registry keys will allow
an install to continue.
1. BACKUP THE REGISTRY! Go to the Start button
and choose Run, and put REGEDIT in the Open
Click the OK button and the Registry Editor
will start. From the Registry menu item choose
to Export the Registry.
2. Once the registry has been backed up, restart
REGEDIT. Navigate by clicking the + (plus)
symbol next to the following items: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services
In here, you will see a folder (key) named
LTNP32. Remove this folder. You will also
see a Lantastic folder (key). Click on the
+ next to Lantastic and you should see several
folders (keys) beneath it. One should be AFSD.
Remove this folder as well
At this point, close the registry editor and
reboot the computer. You should now be able
to install LANtastic 8.0.
