HOW DO I CONNECT TO A HIDDEN RESOURCE (A RESOURCE ENDING IN A "$") WITH LANTASTIC 7.0 OR 8.0 UNDER WINDOWS 95/98/NT?

Solution:
A resource can be hidden by adding a "$" as the last character of a shared resource defined on a Windows 95, 98, or NT 4.0 machine running LANtastic File & Printer Sharing. For example,
c-drive$ is a valid resource, but will not show up in a list when workstations are browsing the server.
To connect under LANtastic 7.0 under Windows 95, or LANtastic 8.0 under Windows 98 or NT:
1. Open LANtastic
2. Select Use Network, Assign Drives
3. Check "remember next connection made".
4. Under Available Drives, highlight the drive letter you want to use, such as F:
5. Type in the UNC path to the resource: \\server\c-drive$
(note that "server" should be replaced with the actual network name of the desired server.
6. Click "Connect".
You can also create a shortcut with the following command line:
Windows 9x:
c:\lantasti\win95\lnet use f: \\server\c-drive$
Windows NT:
c:\lantasti\winnt\lnet use f: \\server\c-drive$
